Traditional Cooking School in Tuscany
Do you want to know the secrets of home-made pasta? Or learn how to choose the right wine to pair with your dishes? The Antico Casale chef reveals the secrets of Maremma cuisine, a real tradition of holidays in Maremma!
The course can cater for small or larger groups and it’s very enjoyable and creative: you’ll learn about and love the intense, distinctive flavours and intoxicating aromas of this land.
In 3 days of practical experience of cooking and tasting your creations, our chef will teach you:
- valuable tips and suggestions about local products
- how to prepare them the traditional way
- how to choose the products of our generous land by kneading, cooking, tasting and pairing them with the local red wines such as Morellino di Scansano.
The first day in the kitchen is devoted to the flagship dish of Italian and Tuscan cuisine, home-made pasta: tagliatelle, tagliolini, gnocchi, tortelli with seasonal fillings, brigoli and pappardelle, accompanied by delicious sauces of wild boar, spring vegetables or traditional ragù.
The second day in the kitchen continues with fabulous peasant soups dressed with exquisite Tuscan extra virgin olive oil. Discover the secret of the famous Zuppa del Casale!
For the final day of our Tuscan cooking course, we save the best for last: you’ll have fun creating the typical desserts of the Maremma region.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample their creations in a lunch or dinner after the lesson.
On request, guests can take part in a wine-tasting session organised by our sommelier. Prices vary according to the menu chosen and the number of participants.
